Economic lifestyle

I interviewed my dad Greg Pearlman, who is a lieutenant at the highlands county sheriff office. He has been involved with law enforcement for 25 years and counting. He said that the pay starts out average and will increase with time. My degree will benefit in my salary as promotion time comes. The only down fall with law enforcement is the government pay cuts and low staff of officers due to the pay cut. He said "you gotta love what you due because the pay isn't worth a bullet". A good benefit is retirement after 20 years with the state and 25 with the county. The health benefits are good and it is a way to serve your country with out going to war. He said a way to be succesful on in this career is to get a degree and graduate high in the academy. The degree will come in to hand in landing a job with a agency and will benifit when ask for a promotion. The higher rank you are the more money you can make and with a degree the sky is the limits. He said "that most departments are in desperite need of good lifetime officers who want to protect and serve"

Ecological lifestyle

My first footprint was 5 mostly due to how much meat I eat and my means of transportation. I have a big truck with big tires and I get really bad Miles Per Gallon. I also drive about 90 miles a day between work, school, football and home. So for 24 hours I cut back on the use of my truck and used a more fuel efficient vehicle. This saved my money on gas and also saved the environment by using less co2 emissions. My score dropped down to a 3.3 after a day of being eco friendly and scene I saved money I will continue to be helpful to the environment.

No Technology

The time period that i went without communication was not as bad as i thought. It was very relaxing and my cell phone wasn't missed. The 24 hour time period consisted of sleep, football practice and a lot of studying for big exam on monday. The no technology assignment was a helpful tool in my preparation for my next exam because if I was aloud I would have watched TV and used the computer. I realized that I was not that dependent on communications as other students in my class.
A problem i see this nation having in the next four years is are national defense and boarder control. In America's history almost every new president has been tested by non-American terrorist and American terrorist. I hope the our miliatary is not ordered down when George W Bush is not longer in office and Obama is our new commander and chief. The border needs to remain tight and homeland security should become a major priority for our government.

http://reviews.teamxbox.com/xbox-360/1543/NCAA-Football-09/p1/

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/864/864259p1.html

The first article is a review of NCAA 09. In the review they describe the changes made to the game to make it more user friendly. The big difference between 09 and 08 is the use of the running game, because in 08 unless you had an all-American running back their was no running game. In 09 they improved by giving the offensive line higher ratings which well allow them to be stronger and faster to open big holes for the running backs. They also made it easier for the running back to make a cut back and still gain positive yards.

The second article is also a review but it describes the other changes in the game besides the running game. In 09 the made the stadiums and the players look more realistic than in 08. They also created more tackles because in the past there was only a couple of different tackles and if you know football there is never the exact kind of tackle made in a game. The home field advantage also plays a bigger role in the game with crowd noise. They also updated to new rules for the game like the protecting the quarterback from late hits.

Blog One

My name is David and I am form the red class. The two video games that fit education and advergames are Darfur is Dying and Planet Green. The Darfur is Dying game is education for the people who don't know what is going on around the world. Its show the player how hard it is to survive in Darfur. This game can have a political stand if there is a campaign that supports Darfur and promise to send support. The Planet Green game covers both aspect as an education and advertising game. The game has a lot of information about global warming and what each person can do to help. There is many things that learned i can do to help protect the earth. It also advertises for other types of transportation rather than an automobile. This is a bad advertising game for car dealerships and gas stations.
